Another great episode Eddy and David

Albanese’s undermining of long negotiations of his own minister, despite portraying Labor as a ‘Cabinet’ government, shows Roger Cook controls environment policy and holds veto on legislation.

Albanese’s Labor has an irrational hatred of the Greens, despite the Greens’ preferences reliably going to Labor. The ALP is not going to get a majority, and the latest Redbridge MRP Poll shows we are perilously close to the LNP forming a minority or majority. If the ALP forms minority Albanese should go because he’s shown himself poor in negotiating with the community independents and the Greens.

Neoliberalism has captured both major parties.

The vested interests have profited and will maintain the system at all costs. Parliament can hold a committee inquiry on anything, yet you need KPMG or McKinsey to write a $10 million dollar policy document before scratching your nose.

Abandonment of neoliberalism? While I wholeheartedly agree that neoliberalism is the cause of so much inequality and poverty and personal distress in the current world, I think it will take a very concerted political push by some old fashioned social democratic movement to achieve any reversal.

I can imagine the average male voter sitting in his shiny Ute thinking about the next profitable deal, the next beer at a ball game or the next opportunity for female conquest to give a rats ass about political change!

For too long, voters who could make a change have become so disillusioned by the antics of politicians in parliament and in MSM. The devaluation of good, investigative journalism and the defunding of traditional media are also contributing to the apathy of voters.

So, what to do?

Yell at friends and family who don’t take an interest in politics and then get them to vote!

Join a political party, attend meetings and get involved.

Write, text, call politicians and get involved in social media.

And above all else - VOTE!

Rant over……………

Thanks Tony. Well said. As those of us who are engaged know voter apathy is really just policy inertia. Let me second: VOTE. DL
