Peter Dutton didn’t use his time in opposition to build credibility or develop a compelling platform and he’s being really exposed on the campaign trail.
Thanks Eddy and David. The comments by Dutton making up stories about the Indonesian president demonstrates an imperial arrogance that ‘Anglo Australia’ is owed to be informed by Indonesia of its own internal affairs.
Dutton has set the bar so low that Albanese and Wong pointing out there is no truth to the claim look statesmanlike.
The polls are indeed looking good for the ALP. However there seems to be a variance between the different organisations, and the ALP’s vote hasn’t gone above 35% since 2010. The agencies overstated the ALP’s support last time so i believe it will still be a narrow majority even if it is 52-48 TPP.
If the ALP maintains its majority, it is likely that Albanese and company take the wrong lessons that their half measures and very worrying collusion with the Liberals on gutting the environment is a laudable strategy.
