Another great episode Eddy and David.

With regards to the surplus, it is telling that the surplus has been achieved by cutting spending. One needs only to look at the continued underfunding of public schools and the poor state of public transport outside of the capital cities to know that those struggling are not the priority of the Federal Government.

For the Queensland Election, the Miles’ Government change to public transport fares is transformative and has recovered ridership past the pre-COVID numbers. Public transportation is very important for social mobility and the move is to be commended because too many governments see it as a profit making venture. His proposal to create a publicly owned energy retailer is positive progressive policy after years of privatisation.

Bridget McKenzie ought not be a senator after being disgraced by the Sports Rorts scandals. Tony Burke should consider his position after assuming that the people carrying the flag are on Visas. Are we to understand he assumes these people are not citizens? What a knee jerk reactionary statement. Now the PM is telling Lebanese and Palestinian communities how they should express themselves and what words they’re allowed to use. It demonstrates a contempt and bias towards the people that they claim to represent. I hope Burke faces a strong independent challenge next election because his statement shows he does not care about his constituents.

The ALP appears very uncomfortable that anyone would not believe their narrative which appears to have been copied and pasted by the Occupation spokesperson Daniel Hagari. Their framing of the invasion of Lebanon as an ‘incursion’ demonstrates that they don’t believe in international law when an ‘ally’ does it. Their anger and outrage is selective and not extended towards non-Western countries.
